Frequently asked questions
Can't find the answer? Call us on +46 70 982 27 13.
How much does it cost to book a DJ or live act through Jocky?
A professional DJ or troubadour usually costs SEK 6,000–15,000 per night, and a live band SEK 15,000–40,000. Jocky has no monthly fee - we charge 5% per booked gig, and you get one combined invoice from us however many artists you book.
How do you book an artist or DJ for a restaurant, hotel or bar?
Search over 1,000 verified artists on Jocky, send a request with the date and time, and get replies directly in the platform. Contracts, calendar, messages and payment are all handled in the same flow. In the demo we'll show you the whole journey from request to confirmed gig.
Can I set my own budget?
Yes. You enter your budget in the request and send it to the artists and DJs you want. They reply directly in the platform, and you choose who to book.
How long is the demo and who runs it?
15 minutes over video with Malcolm, founder of Jocky. We'll show you the platform using your venue as the example and answer your questions. If you'd like to see more, we'll book a longer walkthrough straight afterwards.
Does the demo cost anything?
No. The demo is free and there's no obligation. If you have an event or a date coming up, we're happy to look at suitable artists during the call.
What kinds of artists can I book through Jocky?
DJs, live bands, troubadours, saxophonists, quiz hosts and stand-up comedians - for everything from Friday night in the hotel bar to weddings, company parties and larger events. Our artists are based in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
What happens if the artist falls ill?
Get in touch with us straight away. We'll help find a replacement, often the same day, and take care of the practical side of the contract and payment.
