A wedding day has several parts, and music makes the biggest difference when it suits each one. Many couples book one or two artists who cover the whole day.
A singer, ideally with piano or guitar, is the most common choice for the processional and recessional. A saxophonist makes for an unusual and atmospheric ceremony. In church the music is often handled by the church's own musician, so check with the church if you want to bring in your own artist.
During the drinks reception the music should create atmosphere without taking over the conversation. Jazz, saxophone or an acoustic troubadour works well, and the same artist can often carry on playing into dinner.
During dinner, relaxed music at a low volume is enough. After the speeches is a good moment for a singalong, and that's where a troubadour is hard to beat. Make sure someone is in charge of the microphone for the speeches - often the DJ or the artist who's playing.

No, but it's a popular set-up: the band plays one or two sets as the party starts and the DJ keeps the dance floor going for the rest of the night. On a smaller budget, a DJ who plays all evening goes a long way.

Yes. Jocky has artists all over the country, with the widest selection in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö. Many are happy to travel – just say where the event is and the artist will include any travel in their reply.

If the artist falls ill or can't make it, we'll help you find a replacement at short notice – often the same day. You never pay for a gig that doesn't happen.
