Why we write these guides
People who book live music usually do it a few times a year, while artists do it every week. That creates a gap: what is a fair price, how much playing time do you need and what should go in the contract? The guides are here to close that gap, so both the person booking and the person playing know where they stand before the first email is sent.
Everything we write is based on what we see in Jocky every day: the requests, the quotes and the gigs that go through the platform, at hotels, restaurants and bars across the Nordics. When we give price ranges, they are the ranges we use ourselves when we help clients, and we update the guides when the market moves.
